Melbourne based Rainbow Cloggers have been an established Clogging group for the past 17 years!! That in itself is a real achievement.
Clogging is a form of Country Tap Dancing that originated from the Appalachian Mountains of America. The shoes we wear have a metal double action plate attached to the front and heel of the shoe, which is what makes the great noise when we dance. Clogging is a very specialised type of dance and is not overly hard to learn, however it certainly takes commitment from someone beginning in clogging to do the hard yards and not miss any classes!!
The Rainbow Cloggers hold classes every Monday night at St Marks Church Hall, Cnr Moor & George Sts, Fitzroy from 7:00pm - 9:30pm.
Class cost is $8.00. Each week classes are taught in Basic, Easy Intermediate, and Intermediate clogging levels. Rainbow Cloggers have intakes for new beginner cloggers at various times throughout the year.
